darwindeuce Peregrination is a journey of highs and lows. Light and easy at times yet the emotion of the songs are always present. Sweeping twists and turns around every corner. Push play and the music flows into your day. Favorite track: Borrowed Time.

Lost and left to follow Through the threads of time Reaching back Falling past Thinking you know Something is certain Is the way To lose the way Time for romance Has yet to come and pass Yet to come at last Still to come And gone Given the judgment of the minds Of a righteous paradigm Rendering mass Flowing faster Looking into The scope of all the fields How is this real? How does it feel To see nothing at most, To feel nothing at all, To watch is all fall, To see it all gone? Seeker of doom wisdom Prepared to go the distance Down the lost path A walk through all realms Weather will break And shape the whole field The plains of silence Born from violence Time for romance Has yet to come and pass Yet to come at last Still to come And gone

Gather your supplies and head out to carve out your life Set off to the wild to begin the search for the missing child Cross the terrain A life born from pain Welcome the rain Obey the flame Shelve your fear Behold it dear Keep your mind clear While you're out here Cache your supplies and keep at it until it's right Stand your ground and do not run this time around Cross the terrain A life born from pain Welcome the rain Obey the flame Shelve your fear Behold it dear Keep your mind clear While you're out here Cold and afraid I'm leaving this game To a dark heart untamed Known but not named Crossed and deranged Remnants of pain Lost and estranged Obey the flame

Went up today and walked away Never to be seen again Disappeared without a trace No one knows why or how There's no one here that can be found But they should be found Cos there's nowhere to go And where to go that's away from here In which we don't end up faced with fear? Went up today and walked away Never to be seen again Disappeared without a trace No one knows why or how No evidence of a struggle No reason to run, nowhere to go So we searched for a couple miles But saw nothing unusual but the wild Last seen walking by a boulder field So outside of the woods we yield It was as if he had sunk into the ground No trace of him was ever found Went up today and walked away Never to be seen again Disappeared without a trace No one knows why or how No goodbyes, just gone away Left to leave before its time Never came back, didn't leave a thing Gone and never seen again

Born with the instinct To watch our backs Bleeding from within Our hearts not changed Chained and barred To our graves Trading in our eyes For the power of flight Left a man who was dying Then blamed him for bleeding Blood on our hands Carry to our graves Ancestral memories See the missteps of our ways Cosmic vengeance On the despots through the age Sun and moonlight Shine upon our graves Compliance, I object Blind to circumstance sought in silence Conscientious Objector Reconciliation of Opposites

Dark sunrise Thunder in your eyes Will you learn to fly? An answer will arise Memories Passed through genes Handed down through time Paradigm Awakened in dreams Ancestry Now's my time to fly Resilience Staying awake to wait for the sun Clarity Is there a way for me to see? about

During the tempestuous year of 2020, I, like many people, found myself locked in my house for extensive periods of time. Live music was something that was put on hold for the foreseeable future. Many bands, musicians, studios and venues struggled to stay afloat and survive during the shutdowns – and many didn’t make it. Loneliness, longing, isolation, separation and loss were feelings that we all became much more intimately acquainted with.

I had already known such feelings intimately, so admittedly, I benefitted from my familiarity with them. The trick is (and always has been) finding ways to use such feelings to create something that's cathartic and healing.

I did the only thing that I really knew I could do during this time: obsess with home recording. Getting to spend quality time doing one of the things I’ve always loved most became great therapy, especially while trying to navigate the dark seas of an increasingly uncertain future.

Sawtooth Monk started as a project that was intended to eliminate anything I could hide behind. It was challenging for me to have nothing but an acoustic guitar and my own voice to work with. But the more I did it, the more I accepted my own flaws.

However, for this album, I permitted myself to fully embrace the art of home recording, and allowed myself to use any instrument I could get my hands on. This was not something that I ever intended to do with this project, but 2020 played tricks with my mind.

Thus, I’m unsure if any of these songs will ever be performed with a band live, as that certainly is not my intent with releasing this music. This album was made to be listened to. 2020 made me a better listener, and my intent is to pass on this gift.
